Sherry is now in room 721 on the 7th floor. This is a critical care unit, they are using this as a overflow area. Sherry will still get the one on one care and they will move her to her own room as soon as one comes available. We have told Sherry about this web site and about all the love felt messages that were left for her. Mary and i truly appreciate your prayers and kind words. Thanks!

Update: Monday Morning

Things are going very well this morning here at the hospital. The physical therapist came to see Sherry this morning and tested her leg strength, which is looking good. They were able to get her up out of bed and sitting in a chair for about a half hour. She'll be walking with the help of a walker for some time due to her broken hip. One of her biggest concerns this morning was her bad breath, so thankfully we got her teeth brushed :-)

Sherry asked that we wait until she is feeling better before coming visit. If you would like to come and visit with the family, that is fine, but please know ahead of time that you won't be able to see her until she is feeling better.

A Note on Visitation...

We cannot thank you all enough for you continued support during this trying time. We would like to ask you one favor as the days progress - the Intensive Care Unit is a very isolated area and procedure is to only allow immediate family visitation. This is for Sherry's recovery process and the dynamic of the area of the hospital. We don't want to turn anyone away, but until Sherry has been moved to her own room outside of the ICU, we'd ask that you send you thoughts and prayers through the website and any other means.

We will keep you updated on the status of Sherry and where she is. As soon as she is out of the ICU and visitation limitations are removed we will let everyone know when you can come and visit. So please keep checking here and leaving your messages. We have really enjoyed reading all the wonderful things you have written and reminds us what a wonderful person Sherry is.

Update: SUnday Evening

Should be moving to a private room in ICU around 7. She is trying clear liquids now. Nothing more right now. Just observing and waiting.

Update: Sunday afternoon

Sherry is doing very well. They removed her breathing tubes a short time ago. She is responding to questions and interacting with the doctors and mom and dad. We are waiting to find out when she will be moved from the ICU. We should know that within the next few hours.

Thank you all for your comments, prayers, and wishes. Our family, and especially Sherry appreciate all of your support.
